Last week I had the pleasure to attend the foster carers celebration with the Speaker or the Council, Cllr John Wheeler, and the Portfolio Holder for Valuing Families: Children's Services, Cllr Jane Walker.
I got to give out some amazing prizes to some wonderful people and deliver a speech thanking our foster carers for all the work that they have put in to support our children across the Borough.
It was a really relaxed but incredible time and my heart goes out to all those who have done many years of service to our children.
I was truly humbled to give out these awards, some of which were for over 35yrs of service.
